Our Story
Nicholas Hyde didn’t want to spend his life working in an industry that he didn’t love - He took a leap, left his advertising job, and with no classic training, he launched his own graphic design company where he has been his own boss ever since.
Nicholas created his first design, a fan-art poster that launched him into instant internet fame, from his studio in Portland, Oregon in 2009. From this momentum, Nicholas built a devoted fan base and continued to grow his business.
Several years later, Nicholas noticed his girlfriend’s simple yoga mat and saw a big opportunity for improvement. He decided to print his art on a yoga mat. As luck would have it, his girlfriend had a background in product design and gave him a crash course on sourcing, manufacturing, and tech packs. She also gave him deep insight into the yoga industry, pointing him in the right direction to grow his new business.
Through rigorous product testing, a first production order of defective merchandise, and one brand saving local print house, Yune Yoga Company was born. A light-hearted, expressive, and fun approach to an internationally practiced tradition.
Yune Yoga has become well established since launching in 2013, with a product line that is constantly evolving. The line is sold across the globe, but the focus of the brand has never shifted from unexpected designs, crafted in Oregon, and printed in the same neighborhood where Nicholas lives.
No practice is the same. Express yours.
